Former coworker bullshitting on linked in
What would you do if you saw a former coworker misrepresent her title on Linked In? This person is representing him/herself as, I'm pretty sure, several levels above the actual level they had. They have listed themselves at a level so high that nobody on the team actually had that level, and if they did, it would be public. And this person had a bad reputation for quality of work at the time.

I will almost certainly stay out of it, but this irritates me.

I think its popular in certain industries. I have friends making video games that will actively look at it when hiring.

Is it visible without being in her network? There's always the anonymous-cowardly-but-reasonable-here thing of creating a new person, friending the lying person (or whatever you call it on LinkedIn) and going that route.

Then again, this is sorta what they invented things like nicecritic.com for.

I'd stay out of it unless they appear to be misrepresenting themselves in something that I imagine to be safety critical. I figure I'll let someone gamble with lies that may cost them their career until such time as the lies are going to start hurting others.
