Anyone use pandora?

I'm sick of making my own stations and want to listen to my friends' stations.

Oh. Wait. That's what last.fm is for. (But what will I do without the insanely excessive whizzy UI?)

Other Pandora thought. Pandora is crazy literal. They index the songs by musical traits like female vocals, electronica influence, string melody, etc. But this means that if I like a particularly political indie pop song, but get bored with vapid lovey indie pop songs, Pandora seems to get confused. I feel like Pandora + collaborative filtering + friend recs would be the music super system. Alone, neither Pandora nor last.fm (friend recs and collab filtering) cut it.

I can do push ups?

Chris pointed me to Hundred Pushups today. I guess if you can learn to train for a marathon or bike 500 miles, you can train to do 100 pushups too. Especially because according to the image featured on What is a push up? and wikipedia, push-ups do not, as I previously had thought, have to involve getting your chest all the way to the floor. The dude in the wikipedia page is totally just taking his elbows to a 90 degree angle and pushing up again. I'd always thought you had to go all the way down to your chest. Well, by this new lax definition as exhibited by these burly makes push ups seem accessible to this girl who grew up being end of the pack throughout her phys ed years.

So I tried the test and did 8 push ups. I could have eeked out another but I was afraid my eyes would pop out. So I stopped.

Equipment-less, trainer-less, low time commitment exercise has its strong points.

Things to do in NYC

I'm going to a wedding in NYC Sept 13 and plan to hang out there for at least a few days before and after. Do not let me forget to find a way to get into the Daily Show! Maybe I will even go multiple times... *schemes*
